  5. These tables for Eudora [Lite] enable you to send and read mail containing special European letters from the Albanian, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, and Slovenian languages. The following character sets are supported:

  24. You can find pictures of these character sets in the folder Code Tables. Since the Mac CE character set misses one Croatian letter, you have to write ÔdjÕ instead.

  27. What to do?

  29. (1)  Drag the files from the folder Fonts & Keyboards onto your System Folder and restart your Mac. (ThatÕs only necessary if you do not yet have the CE script installed.) Once you have the CE script installed, you have a new menu in the right corner of the menu bar where you can easily change keyboard layouts. The keyboard ÒU.S. CEÓ is basically the U.S. keyboard but with different dead keys (option-`, -e, -i, -n, -u) taking into account the special Central European characters. If you ever want to de-install the CE script, press ÒoptionÐspacebarÓ during start-up and drag it out of the System file.

  31. (2)  Put the file Eudora CE Tables into the Preferences folder inside your System Folder.

  33. (3)  Start Eudora [Lite] and choose the menu ÒSpecial : SettingsÉÓ. Under ÒSending MailÓ, uncheck the option ÒFix curly quotesÓ. Under ÒFonts & DisplayÓ, set the screen font to Monaco CE or Geneva CE.

  35. (4)  You can choose the applied translation under the menu ÒMessage : Change : TransliterationÓ.
